“ I'll be wandering around -- maybe call me ahead of time if this is your first time coming. ”
THIS MONTH there is an alternative lesson at 6:30 -- a Beginning class on Country Two-Step upstairs. You don't have to bring a partner (though most people do) -- I'll be there.
Every Friday at The Ballroom of Sacramento, there is an evening of dancing, about 50% Line Dancing, 50% partner dances (Country Two-Step and other country dances; also West Coast Swing plus some Night Club Two Step and Hustle).
Each week at 6:30 a new line dance is taught (and at 7:10 the previous week's dance is reviewed).
The main dancing starts at 7:30.
$7 covers both the class and the dance.
No alcohol. Yes free snacks and cold water.
If you have never line danced before, this may not be the best place to start; most of the popular dances these days are elaborate enough that you will want to take classes to learn the steps before trying to do them at a dance. (You are of course still completely welcome to come; just expect to be watching more than dancing.)

Directions: Us 50, exit 65th (North), cross the light rail tracks, left on Folsom Blvd, pass maybe five blocks of houses, then on the right is a block-long parking lot and building. In middle of block near street is a tall pole with a white-letters-on-blue-background sign saying "VCA Pets Animal Hospital". The building has several businesses. RC Hobbies is on the right, then after a solid wall you come to a glass door for The Ballroom. (6009 Folsom Blvd)
If the parking lot is full, look across Folsom Blvd, you'll see a dirt strip along the road that cars are also parked in.
DO NOT PARK in front of RC Hobbies (their spaces are marked with little signs saying for RC Hobbies only). They are picky about dancers using their spaces -- you could get towed.

To Meet: Midway down the row of tables next to dance floor, look for one with my shoe bag, and some blue & white 'Sacramento Line Dancing Meetup Group' business cards.
