Introduction
Hi my name is Jean and I am very interested in dancing from the Eastern Mediterranean and Caucasus. This looks like a terrific way to have a great time and meet people with similar interests ! |I really look forward to participating !
What interests you about this type of dance?

I love the music !Both my parents were raised in the Middle East and I grew up on it. You simply cannot be depressed, the rythm simply won't allow it ! These are all incredibly rich cultures !

Have you ever Line Danced before? Favorites?

Never !

Have you ever danced barefoot in the grass?

No - but I am willing to give it a shot.

Are you more comfortable in the middle of the line.. or are you the wild hankerchief swirling one who gets in the center?

As I am a beginner - at this point more comfortable in the middle of the line. In the future - who knows !

When the music heats up.. do you hiss like a drop of water in a hot frying pan, or do you do the high pitched yelping/war cry thing?.. (If not already familiar, you will see) -no need to get scared ;)

High pitched yelping /war cry thing ! This is not only superb excercise but also a way of releasing tensions and obtaining distance from the concerns of everyday life ! It helps you to not sweat the small stuff !
